Business or Pleasure?

I was thinking last night about how my occasional verbal screwups might be an unconscious expression of  hunger for approval, possibly due to a lack of self-approval.  What`s the remedy?

Pleasure, of course!  If I`m doing things out of enjoyment instead of  a need for approval I always get better results while business on the other hand seems to be based on approval. If decisions get made without approval from the right people deals are broken, people lose jobs, or ideas tend to flop.

I work at a hotel and sometimes ask the guests if they`re there for “business or pleasure?”

Now I`m asking myself that question.

The driving force behind this blog has to be pleasure to keep it worthwhile, with a little business sense thrown in there to keep it from sinking.

What type of blog is this?

Commentary on the lessons I learn from the trivial to the quintescential

Reviews on movies, books, music, or musicals

Interviews with real people with acronym`d (is that a word?)  pseudonyms

Then, add a dash of wordplay and maybe an occasional song and viola, you got `wishiwerethere7`…

Sometimes the words will be boring or immature, sometimes people might find them interesting or funny, but I`ll always find it fun, or at least learn something, or stop.

So not that it`s any of my business, but read for pleasure and you`ve got my approval (not that you need it).

This post is dedicated Bill McF.; you`re an Island treasure and an inspiration for me to take my writing to the next level, here goes…
